Antique boxlock side-by-side double barrel shotgun chambered of 2 ½” 12 gauge shells. Manufactured in St. Etienne, France circa 1890. Features 29 5/8” Damascus barrels marked “Non Pour La Balle”, matted concave rib, fixed F/IC chokes, extractor, brass bead front sight, case hardened receiver with scroll engraving & cocked indicators, double triggers, finely checkered top lever, sliding tang safety, sling swivels, finely checkered walnut splinter forend with Anson release, and straight grip shoulder stock with drop points, checkered horn buttplate & 13 5/8” LOP. Shotgun retains approximately 30% of its original finish overall with pleasant Damascus patterns & vivid case colors in the protected areas while the balance is comprised of bare metal & surface rust. The action is mechanically sound with the top lever resting centered, the bores are bright with rust near the muzzles, and the walnut stocks are fair with blemishes, missing escutcheon on the comb & major crack at the wrist.
